मैं पिछले कई वर्षों से English Grammar पढ़ा रहा हूँ और मेरा अनुभव यह कहता है कि अगर कोई student या beginner English में कमजोर है, तो उसका सबसे बड़ा कारण होता है Parts of Speech की सही समझ न होना। यह topic English language की foundation है। चाहे आप school student हों, competitive exams की तैयारी कर रहे हों या spoken English सीखना चाहते हों, Parts of Speech को समझे बिना आगे बढ़ना मुश्किल हो जाता है।
Parts of Speech क्या होता है
English grammar में sentence को बनाने वाले words को उनके काम के आधार पर अलग अलग category में बांटा जाता है। इन्हीं categories को Parts of Speech कहा जाता है।
Simple language में कहें तो, हर word sentence में कोई न कोई role निभाता है। जैसे कोई word naming करता है, कोई action बताता है, कोई quality दिखाता है। उसी role के आधार पर उसका part तय होता है।
Parts of Speech कितने होते हैं
Traditional English Grammar के अनुसार Parts of Speech कुल 8 होते हैं। Modern grammar में कई जगह 9 भी बताए जाते हैं, लेकिन exams और academic level पर 8 ही standard माने जाते हैं।
